Well as the pro’s say judging these bikes are like splitting hairs, they are all that close and in most cases which ever one you like best is the one you will be the fasted on. If the bike doesn’t feel good to you then you won’t use its potential. With these bikes it comes down to which one give you more confidence(aka bigger balls) if you don’t like the way it twitches the 600 will smoke you. Very few actually push these machines to there limit. SO THE BEST IS RELATIVE TO THE PERSON RIDING IT.

i said, it sounds like a v-4 … meaning it doesnt sound like the the usual angry bee inline 4…. go back and read carefully.
@GOBbluthagain LOL dude the R1 is definitely NOT a v-4, and the only company to use a v-4 in their MotoGP bike is Aprilia.
@kj7687 and down on peak horsepower from the other three (the North American version at least…). And because Yamaha is the worst among the big four in terms of reliability and maintenance costs.
@marinosg15 Hey man my preference list for the 09 1000′s is exactly the same as yours lol. CBR is the best because it is extremely light (20 pounds lighter than the ZX10 if I remember right…), it handles very smoothly and is very stable in the corners and in the straights, and also because the power delivery from the motor is very smooth and user-friendly. ZX10 gets second because of engine power and looks, GSXR third because of reliability and looks (minus stock exhaust), R1 last cuz its ugly
r1 09 is ugly for me they have the most kilos and the less power from all tha japanese..from r1 i prefer the 07-08 model..for me the cbr is the best..second i put zx10 after the gsxr and the last the r1..!

Anyone who loves MotoGP will love the new R1 sound, awesome sound. I was also so impressed with it when I tested it out I ordered one. The CBR is great, but I found it cramped to ride, maybe I’m too big for it so not for me. What I found so impressive with the R1 was the bottom to top power band, put it in A mode and feel the pick up. It rips…

the new R1 is the bike to beat! the r1 is about to be crowned WORLD superbike champion, josh hayes onboard the new r1 won 7 AMA superbike rounds and is the man to beat next year, world supersport the R6 rules, MOTOGP the yamaha m1 rules, i would have to say yamaha is kicking suzuki,honda and kawasaki’s azz this year
The yamaha may be down on power and heavier but the cross plane crankshaft means amazing linear power and you can get on the gas earlier in the corner than any other bike

the 2008 cbr1000rr rocks as that mid rang is dam powerful as every time i get on my 2008 cbr1000rr i throws me back and the front wheel comes off the ground. It also pulled a wheelie comming out of a turn the other day never had that hapeen with any of the bikes i been on as it shocked the hell out of me.
I own an 09 R1 and absolutely love it. I’ve test ride the 09 CBR,GSXR,& ZX10 before making my final purchase with the R1 and can’t describe in words how big of a thrill tit is to ride the R1
